This course,
taught primarily in clay,
explores design in three
dimensions. Projects include
vessels, sculptural forms,
whistles and masks.
Projects are
begun with wet stoneware. After
the drying process, they are
fired to 1800 degrees in a kiln
on campus. The bisqueware piece
is then decorated with
traditional low-fire glazes or
mixed media (as seen at
left).
